Hermann Park Engagement Session

As a Houston wedding photographer, I love a chic Hermann Park engagement session. Let me tell you, this day did not disappoint. It was the glorious! The sun was shining and the humidity was low, a rare occurrence in Houston. Bryleigh and I had been chatting for so long, I was pumped to finally meet she and Jack.

Can I tell you that Bryleigh and Jack had the most fantastic outfits! I always recommend a formal outfit to start off an engagement session, followed by something more casual to reflect your personality. Bryleigh was stunning in her burgundy dress and Jack was decked out in a blue suit with a coordinating tie. After roaming Hermann Park and capturing their love for each other, they changed into boots and blue jeans. Bryleigh added the coolest hat to complete her outfit and it sure brought out the playful side of her personality.

 

Bryleigh and Jack  met at The Sunken Well Tavern on wing night! Samantha, Bryleigh’s childhood friend, introduced her to Jack. Bryleigh was so embarrassed because it was so obvious. She was wearing leggings, an oversized t-shirt and her hair was in a messy bun. Not to mention, she had just added Jack on Facebook before they met so she could creep on him. After they met, Jack told Bryleigh he recognized her as “the girl who added him”.

 

The Proposal

Bryleigh and Jack were engaged on November 28, 2021, the day of her sister’s gender reveal.  Due to covid, they were live streaming the gender reveal with both of their families via Zoom. Bryleigh was caught up in predicting that her sister would be having a boy–she is always right she says. But, in fact, the announcement was that a girl was on the way. Bryleigh was shocked! As she started to walk away, Jack grabbed her by the belt loop (which she hates) and Bryleigh (with attitude) said “WHAT?”. When she turned around, Jack was on one knee with a gorgeous ring in hand. He was so nervous the only words he could get out were “Bryleigh Alexandra Berry, will you marry me”. Bryleigh was so surprised and so grateful their families were able to witness the proposal. Oh, and she said YES!

 

If you ask Bryleigh and Jack what is a perfect date night, it would be filled with comfy clothes, Netflix and sushi. Describing themselves as low key, they enjoy hanging out together at home. They love going to Hermann Park in the summer, laying out on a blanket and just enjoying each others company. So, of course, this was the perfect place for their engagement session. Austin is one of their favorite spots to travel. Nothing is better than the time they have spent celebrating friends, families and birthdays at Lake Travis. They love attending weddings and love to dance. They will get your party started and break out their best dance moves!!

Bryleigh can hardly wait to walk down the aisle to the man of her dreams.  She can’t wait to see Jack’s reaction and to just be in that special moment with him surrounded by their family and friends. Jack is most looking forward to the reception and hitting the dance floor!

Bryleigh and Jack, you are so much fun and I can’t wait to capture your big day at The Springs  Wallisville in January 2022.
