Houston Skyline Engagement Photos

Houston Skyline Engagement Photos are a favorite of mine! When Samantha-Anne and Robert said they wanted to wear formal attire in front of the Houston skyline on Sabine Bridge, I was all in! Samantha-Anne shared that while she takes 1000 photos of everything, she can only get Robert to smile for about four of them. He gives her photo limits on their vacations!! Robert was great during this session. Per his request, we kept it short and sweet with the goal of getting a stunning image for their Save the Dates!  I was thrilled to capture such fantastic Houston skyline engagement photos for these two!!

 Sabine Bridge Downtown Houston

Samantha-Anne and Robert, who met online, were actually scheduled to get married at The Houston Club October 3, 2020. Covid-19 had other plans. They made the tough decision to postpone their wedding until July 31, 2021. After delaying their engagement session for a few months, the Reed Gallagher Photography team was so thrilled to finally meet them in person.

The Proposal

Samantha-Anne and Robert have the sweetest proposal story! Robert, who Samantha-Anne claims is not the king of romance, blew Samantha-Anne away with his proposal. It was a day filled with riddles and notes and plenty of surprises.

On the day of a Christmas party they were to attend, Robert left the house for a bit. He texted Samantha-Anne to go to the mailbox to get the required wristbands for the party. What she found instead were two notes. Note one had a rhyme saying be ready, outside at 9:30 am for a limo ride. Note two was to be opened at 9:30 am.

 This led to Spanish Flower on Main where her Dad had breakfast and margaritas waiting, a family tradition. Solving the next riddle, Samantha-Anne was off to get hair and makeup done. Next stop was Christian’s Tailgate (where they had their second date). Mom was there ready for lunch.

A nail salon was the next stop and Samantha-Anne’s best friend was there to surprise her. After another riddle, Samantha-Anne was whisked away to the final destination,  Down the Street Bar. She entered through a crowd of people and saw Robert standing by a Christmas tree. People began cheering for her! As she looked around, she realized she was surrounded by her friends and family. Robert got down on one knee and proposed. She said YES!

 

 

 Houston Skyline Engagement Photos

Samantha-Anne is General Counsel, Chief Compliance and Human Resources Officer at Citelum US, and EDF Group Company. Robert is a Senior Manager for Ernst & Young. When they are not working, they enjoy long walks, playing with their cat, Max, and cooking. They enjoy attending football and baseball games. They are avid travelers. Last year alone they went to France, London, Belize, Honduras, Kansas and Austin!

 

Despite postponing their wedding at The Houston Club, they are so excited to finally become husband and wife! I can’t wait to capture their dream wedding day in July! Congratulations from the Reed Gallagher Photography team.
