I’m a photographer based in Houston, TX that specializes in sophisticated wedding and high school senior photography.
Hermann Park engagement photos are simply the best!!! Houston wedding photographers are so blessed to have so many parks to choose from, but I am a big fan of Hermann Park! The weather was delightful on this sunny day. It was so great to finally meet Annie and Kaleb!
Annie and Kaleb actually met in high school. Kaleb was the tennis team captain. He immediately took Annie, who was a freshman and new to tennis, under his wing. Instantly they became best friends. December 2020 marks five years of their friendship turned romance!
Annie shared with me how much fun her proposal was! Even though she and Kaleb had been talking about getting married, and even though she knew a proposal was coming, she was still surprised. It happened about week after Annie’s 21st birthday. Kaleb said that his parents wanted to take her to a nice restaurant to celebrate! While they were getting ready, Kaleb told Annie that she should wear a dress. And she was SOOOO annoyed!! Annie kept thinking “this is stupid I don’t feel like getting all dressed up.” They kept arguing because Annie wouldn’t change out of her jeans.
Finally out the door, they headed to a restaurant that sits on Lake Houston, featuring a beautiful green area nearby. As they were walking up to the restaurant, Annie saw roses in the shape of a heart laying on the ground. Kaleb walked Annie to the middle of the roses and she saw their families watching from the restaurant balcony. Kaleb got down on one knee and proposed!
Annie shared that she honestly can’t remember what was said or if she even answered Kaleb. She said she basically blacked out! After she had that ring on her finger, they enjoyed dinner in a cute, private wine room with their families and had the best time!! Kudos to Kaleb for planning such a beautiful proposal.
Both Annie and Kaleb work in the healthcare industry. Annie works 12 hour shifts as a R.N. in the ICU at Texas Children’s Hospital in the medical center. She has such a kind and compassionate heart. Kaleb will graduate from Occupational Therapy School in December and dreams of working with children. Congratulations Kaleb!!! What an accomplishment.
Annie and I have so much in common: queso, tennis and Netflix. You bet during our Hermann Park engagement photos session we discussed our love for queso! Annie told me all about the queso at Velvet Taco and I can not wait to try it. Annie and Kaleb love playing tennis together–neither of them like to lose. I can totally relate. They also love a good Netflix binge, currently Criminal Minds, which is one of my favorites too. Annie and Kaleb cherish every moment they get to spend with their family and friends.
These two will become husband and wife in February 2021 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Annie is so excited to see Kaleb’s reaction when she walks down that aisle. She jokingly told me that if he doesn’t cry, she will turn around. But we all know these high school sweethearts were made for each other!
Congratulations, Annie and Kaleb! I am so honored to be your photographer and everyone here at Reed Gallagher Photography is cheering you on.
