I’m a photographer based in Houston, TX that specializes in sophisticated wedding and high school senior photography.
A Holy Rosary Church wedding is simply gorgeous! The cathedral is stunning with its gothic style architecture. For Annie and Kaleb, this is their home church! They were very passionate about wanting to get married at the church they would attend weekly as a married couple. Now, every Sunday, they get to revisit the place where they exchanged their vows!
Annie and Kaleb had special gift exchanges before the ceremony. Annie’s Papaw was the best man she had ever known. He passed away shortly before she and Kaleb got engaged. On her grandparent’s wedding day, her Papaw gifted her Mamaw with a pearl necklace. Throughout the years, he added on many more pearls to the necklace. Before the ceremony, Annie opened a letter and gift from Kaleb. It was pearl earrings, and in the note Kaleb wrote that these pearls were to honor Annie’s Papaw. It reminded her that he was with her watching over her the whole day. Annie’s father carried on an old tradition of placing a penny in Annie’s shoe for good luck. Kaleb read a note from Annie who gifted him a golf club.
Annie choose a beautiful color palate of wine, blush pink, and greenery! She loved the simplicity of the colors and it was the perfect combination for a winter wedding! Her wedding dress was her dream dress!! She desired a dress that mirrored getting married in a Catholic Church. Sheer lace adorned the long sleeves that fell slightly off the shoulder. Kaleb and the groomsmen were dashing in their black tuxedos.
Annie was most looking forward to seeing Kaleb as her dad walked her down the aisle. She and Kaleb choose not to do a first look so she said she was pretty nervous. She shared that she remembered her dad looking at her telling her to take a deep breath. In that moment, when she first saw Kaleb waiting for her at the end of the aisle and bawling his eyes out, all her nerves and stress just disappeared. Annie simply felt peace. She was finally going to marry her best friend.
After a beautiful ceremony, we headed outside the Holy Rosary Cathedral for bridal party portraits and newlywed portraits. It was could and chilly, but that didn’t stop anyone from celebrating Annie and Kaleb.
Annie and Kaleb had a wonderful reception filled with wonderful toasts and dancing. Annie said her all time favorite moment at her reception was her dad dancing. When she asked he dad if he had any song requests, he said “Walk it Out.” She knew he was joking, and she told her friends because she thought it was so funny. Of course, the bridesmaids go tell the DJ to play the song and hype her dad up. This led to her dad break dancing which she says was one of the greatest moments of her life. After the reception came to an end, Kaleb and Annie ran through a bubble exit with their family and friends cheering them on.
