This Addison Woods wedding inspiration shoot was just what my creative soul needed!

 

Addison Woods wedding inspiration was just what I needed:  an intimate styled shoot with a standout team of vendors at a new wedding venue. Magical! As owner of Elevate & Educate, I plan and host styled shoots specifically designed to help other photographers grow their portfolio and advance their business. But every once in a while, I need to plan a shoot just for me and my Reed Gallagher Photography brand. This allows me to hone in on specific skills I want to improve. It is my chance to try new poses. I can work one on one with the models at my own pace, without the rush of a normal wedding day. And, I can bring in my associate team for detailed training.

 

Addison Woods is magical

Addison Woods wedding inspiration comes easy because the venue is simply magical. Nestled just outside Houston in Spring, Texas, amongst wildflowers and oak trees, this family owned venue is a dream for brides and grooms. The charming, modern farmhouse reception hall is illuminated by wrought iron chandeliers. It is surrounded by a veranda that overlooks the lush grounds.

 

Modern Tablescape With a Bit of Vintage Flare

With all white shiplap and stunning farmhouse tables, the Addison Woods reception hall makes decorating a joy! Laced With Grace Events designed a tablescape that any bride would love. Your Butlers Pantry had exactly what we needed to design a simple, but romantic place setting. I absolutely love the vintage pressed glass goblets! Menu cards by B Gregory Design added a special flare. The floral centerpieces designed by Gallery Flowers were amazing. Daisy created centerpieces that had a natural and whimsical aesthetic, much like the forest trees of Addison Woods.

 

Romantic Cake Makes A Statement

Vivian, at CBV Cake, designed a cake I am still obsessed with.  This cake had it all! Romantic ruffles edged with gold lustre. Edible wafer textures adorned with sugar flower applique. Delicious cupcakes and intricately designed cake balls completed the dessert table. A blush linen tablecloth with a fluffy textured cream linen on top created simple elegance. Thank you, Linen and Events!

 

Flatlay Heaven

When you ask Barbara at B Gregory Design to create an invitation suite for you, you strike gold! It is always my honor to photograph anything she designs. Flatlays have always been one of my favorite details to photograph. I am not gonna lie: it has taken lots of practice and a mentoring session with Jade Magnolia to achieve exact the look I want. If you hire me as your wedding photographer, rest assured details shots of your special day will not be forgotten.

 

Wedding Dress to Die For

When you combine hair and make up from Delia at Beloved Make Up and Hair with a stunning dress from Belle Ame bridal, dreams really do come true! No, really! I was in heaven here photographing the most heavenly bride and groom.

 

The Addison Woods Chapel Has the Best Lighting

The Laura May Chapel has natural lighting that truly is perfect! A photographer’s dream! When I first saw this chapel, I envisioned a dramatic, floral arch. Having worked with Daisy at Gallery Flowers before, I knew she was the person for this job. Using a fall pastel color scheme, she created an arch for the chapel that brought in inspiration from the outdoors by using Spanish moss and birch vines. As always, she knocked it out of the park. The combination of the chapel + the florals +the dress + killer hair and makeup (not to mention a stunning bride and groom)–my heart was leaping out of my body. Every pose, every click of my camera felt natural and effortless.
