Uptown Park senior photos perfectly encapsulate the modern, urban vibe of this unique location. The stunning architecture and vibrant surroundings provide a dynamic backdrop for any senior session. McKenna, a high school senior at Episcopal High School, and a member of the RGP Class of 2024 Rep Team, knew this location would reflect her vivacious personality and vibrant spirit.  Uptown Park, in the heart of the Houston Galleria area, is where the popular and delightful Flower Child restaurant is located. It is a favorite among many Houston seniors.

This senior session holds a special place in our hearts here at Reed Gallagher Photography . Our studio manager, Cameron, has known McKenna’s mom for over 40 years. Watching McKenna grow into the incredible young woman she is today is a testament to the power of lifelong friendships.

Houston Senior Has Passion for Photography

McKenna describes herself as super fun and outgoing. Her effervescent personality shines through in every photograph. She’s not just a high school senior; she’s a powerhouse of involvement in her school and community. She participates in photojournalism and is a valuable member of the Varsity tennis team. Beyond sports and journalism, she’s an active member of various clubs and councils, including the Cancer Awareness Club, Photography Club, and Admissions Council. She recently participated in a fundraising campaign called LLS Student Visionaries, where she raised an impressive $10,000 to help cure blood cancer patients. Her dedication to making a difference in the world is truly commendable. Her commitment to her school and community is inspiring.

McKenna’s love for photography extends beyond the lens. She takes photojournalism at school, making her quite knowledgeable about the art of capturing moments. Her passion doesn’t stop there; she runs an Instagram account dedicated to her photography, showcasing her creative eye and love for visual storytelling. We are excited to have McKenna serve as an RGP intern this year. McKenna will be joining our team to capture behind the scenes footage of senior sessions. Being an educator is a huge passion of RGP! Our team has a deep desire  and commitment to give back. What better way than to help McKenna learn the ropes of a successful Houston senior photography business!

Uptown Park Fashion

Fashion is a big part of McKenna’s life. She draws inspiration from Pinterest and describes her style as very spring and summery. Unique pieces with cool patterns and chic all-neutrals outfits are her go-to choices. Her favorite places to shop include Free People, Zara, and Aritzia.

We recommend seniors bring to their session a few outfits ranging from casual (comfortable, reflects your personality) to more formal (most of our seniors bring a dress and heels). Our standard suggestion is two formal outfits & one casual outfit. Each of McKenna’s outfits reflected her impeccable sense of style and brought out a different side of her personality. As a result, the images we captured were not just photographs; they were snapshots of her essence, radiating passion, style, and an eagerness to take on the world.

McKenna’s senior session at Uptown Park was a testament to her remarkable spirit and the friendships that have stood the test of time. We are honored to have been a part of this milestone and to witness McKenna’s journey from a fun-loving child to an inspiring young woman. As she looks ahead to her future, we have no doubt that McKenna will continue to make a positive impact on the world through her passion for photography, her commitment to community service, and her boundless energy.
