I’m a photographer based in Houston, TX that specializes in sophisticated wedding and high school senior photography.
When The Houstonian Hotel wedding at The Manor House is a secret and only the vendors and bride and groom are in on it, you know it is going to be a good one! YEP! Tiffany and Todd kept the secret for so long, even from Tiffany’s young boys. They were overjoyed when their big day finally arrived on June 26, 2021.
Seventy guests, dashing in their cocktail attire, arrived for this “engagement party. Most had flown in from all over to share this special day. What they didn’t know, was that Tiffany and Todd were about to pulled off the biggest surprise ever! The Manor House and grounds at The Houstonian Hotel were simply gorgeous. Tiffany wanted this day to be elegant, simple and timeless. And boy was it! Lots of candles combined with white linen and white florals and greenery made for a romantic setting. Guests enjoyed cocktails to celebrate Tiffany and Todd’s engagement. The DJ had the music going and cocktails were flowing. Laughter and celebration was in the air!
Then the big announcement came! Their dear friend, grabbed the microphone and spilled the beans! She shared that today was not only an engagement party, it was actually Tiffany and Todd’s wedding day and they were all going to be a part of it. The reaction of the guests face was priceless. PRICELESS! Shouts and applause filled the room. Todd was grinning from ear to ear. All while Tiffany had snuck upstairs to change into her wedding gown.
Tiffany was upstairs at The Manor House while the surprise announcement was being made. She had the most treasured people by her side helping her change into her wedding gown. She was stunning in her gown paired with a gorgeous all white bouquet. Just as she wanted: simple, elegant and timeless!
Then, one of the moments she had been waiting for! It was time to finally share with her boys that she and Todd were actually getting married. Look at these boys!!! You can feel the love, joy and respect they have for their mom in these photos. Tiffany and Todd entrusted the RGP Associate Team to photograph their wedding and let me tell you, they knocked it out of the park. Every photo captures all the emotion and joy that radiated from everyone on this day.
Tiffany and Todd wanted a personal and intimate, outdoor ceremony at The Houstonian Hotel and it was everything they dreamed of! With his daughter and son by his side, Todd watched his lovely bride walk down the aisle escorted by her two sons. There were so many special moments. Guests were overcome with emotion and many tears were shed. Bible verses were shared, a reading of a poem and a letter to the groom was read by their children. It was so touching. Tiffany and Todd also shared vows they wrote for each other. Make your wedding ceremony personal! Share your story. Write your own vows. It will be well worth it and the memories will be cherished forever.
After the ceremony, we capture portraits of the newlyweds and some family candids. The blended family now one! The love and support they all had for each other was such an inspiration. It was so important to Tiffany and Todd to share this day with the most influential and important people in their lives.
When I asked Tiffany to describe what she wanted at her reception, she said it was for everyone to dance the night away and just enjoy each other’s company. These guest tore up the dance floor all night long. When I look at these photos, I feel like I was present on their big day. I feel all the emotions–love, joy, laugher, energy, happiness! That is when you know your associate team of photographers is immensely talented!!! Plus a room filled with so many beautiful people who mutually love each other doesn’t hurt!
Congratulations, Mr. & Mrs. Thoman! This Houstonian Hotel wedding was one we will never forget. Thank you for letting the RGP team be a part of your special day. It was such an honor! You are both the sweetest and kindest humans and every moment of this journey has been a blast! Wishing you both a wonderful year ahead!
