Buffalo Bayou Senior Session

Buffalo Bayou senior sessions are simply the best! Located in Houston, Texas off of Sabine Street, this location offers a blend of city and nature vibe! Added bonus: the Houston skyline. When Karli chose Buffalo Bayou Park for her session, I was so excited! I knew it was a place where I could capture her true personality. Karli is one of my sixteen senior rep spokesmodels and I knew she would rock her individual session. 

A Love For Musical Theater

Karli, who attends St. John’s School, has a love for musical theatre. She is a member of The Academy at Humphreys School of Musical Theater at Theatre Under the Stars. That is actually where Karli and I first met, in a tap class! Yep….we both love to tap! Karli spends hours every week dancing, singing and acting. Karli has an amazing voice and all those private voice lessons have paid off!  

When Karli is not on stage at TUTS, you will find her on stage through her theatre program at school. She is also a member of the choir and participates in her school’s dance program. Karli is a great leader and loves being a part of the women empowerment club at St. Johns School. And because that just isn’t enough, Karli is on the editing staff of the literary magazine publication and in the French club, and International club.

Musically Gifted

Karli describes herself as outgoing, super motivated and very organized! While she is  always busy doing something, she always makes time for friends, family and self care. She is obsessed with music and pretty much always singing. It is not surprising that she plays guitar, ukulele, and piano! She is vegetarian, but says she is not one of those annoying vegetarians.:) She will tell you she is very opinionated but loves having meaningful discussions with people about current events and politics  Karli also loves to babysit. 

Simplistic Is Her Style

Karli nailed her session with just the right outfits. She would say that her style is very simplistic and easy. She loves to wear a good pair of jeans and a solid color blouse or fun sweater. You will also find her sporting fun, patterned skirts with a plain top or sweater. On occasion she will go for “edgier” looks, with things like band tees and grays and blacks and platform shoes. Simple with pops of color or patterns is her jam. 

Thrift Shopping Is A Must

Her favorite places to shop: Nordstrom or Nordstrom Rack and Urban Outfitters. She loves the Free People, Madewell, Lululemon, Rag and Bone, Athleta, and ASTR. But her absolute must is thrift shopping. Good finds and good for the environment!!!!

Dancing Her Way Through Buffalo Bayou Park

One of the things I most love about Karli is that she is always smiling. Her mantra: there is only one today, so we’d better make the most of it!! Karli and I had the best time during her Buffalo Bayou senior session. She is a natural in front of the camera! She was always willing to try new poses and I loved that she wanted to high kick and dance her way through Buffalo Bayou Park.  Karli truly is a shining light!

Karli, I am so grateful for the times we spent together at Humphreys School of Musical Theatre!  We laughed…ALOT!
