Creative, talented, optimistic and always smiling are words I would use to describe Taylor Greny! Taylor is a senior at Friendswood High School and is also one of the RGP Senior Reps. Taylor completely killed her senior session not only with stylish outfits, but also by bringing props that brought out her true personality. It was all laughs during our session in downtown Houston.
Taylor definitely has a fun & chic style! While she enjoys shopping at H&M, Zara and Forever 21, she likes the challenge of finding just the right outfit from resale shops like Plato’s Closet or even Target. Taylor describes her style as retro: a sucker for high -waisted things, overalls, shaped sunglasses and scrunchies. And hats! I love when seniors bring hats to their sessions! It adds a whole new dimension for posing and a whole lot of fun.
It was the perfect touch for Taylor to bring playbills to her session. She told me, “The fine arts are basically my whole life!” Her dream role is to play Lydia Deetz in the musical Beetlejuice. When Taylor becomes that shining star on Broadway, she will always have this photo of her with the Beetlejuice playbill to look back, and I will have her autograph :).
When she isn’t on stage rehearsing or auditioning for college musical theatre programs, she is a Publicity Officer (she runs all of the social media) for her Choir Department and Secretary of the branch of International Thespian Society at her school. She is also part of the National and National-English Honor Society Programs, and does volunteer work at her public library. RGP is SO PROUD of Taylor who received a Tommy Tunes Nomination for her role as Matilda in the Broadway musical, Matilda the Musical, at Friendswood High. Let’s give her a big round of applause!
Outside the realm of fashion and theater, if Taylor had a completely free day and a Starbucks gift card, she would spend the time at Barnes and Nobles. She has always had a passion for reading and writing and wrote her first book at age eleven! She is also a sucker for fantasy and sci-fi movies and loves a good cup of tea. Her golden retriever, Bo, has her whole heart!
At the time of Taylor’s session, she had not decided on which college she would be attending, so I photographed her in a t-shirt from each of her favorite schools. Any school would be lucky to have Taylor and everyone here at RGP wishes her the best of luck. We will see you on Broadway, Taylor!!
