I’m a photographer based in Houston, TX that specializes in sophisticated wedding and high school senior photography.
Fall Houston senior photos are always my favorite! On this fall day, the sun was shining and it was far from the cool, fall temperatures we were hoping for. But, despite the heat, Lauren absolutely killed her senior session in downtown Houston at Buffalo Bayou Park and Sabine Bridge.
Lauren is one of my Class of 2022 Reed Gallagher Photography spokesmodels and she brings a vibrant energy to my team. Her smile lights up a room when she enters and her quick wit and sense of humor keep us all laughing. Lauren and I have been friends for many years. Our older sisters went to junior high and high school together and were on the same cheer squad. So Lauren and I ran into each other occasionally. I was absolutely thrilled when she and her best friend applied to be on my rep team. I knew we were going to have a blast together.
Lauren is a senior at Glenda Dawson High School and has been a member of the Dawson Diamonds drill team since her freshman year and has enjoyed every minute of it. She serves as the Vice President of the Social Committee. Lauren absolutely loves stepping onto that football field for Friday Night Lights and performing with her team. Her smile is the brightest out there!!! One of her favorite high school memories is when she went to Disney World with the drill team.
Lauren is a gifted leader and serves as the President of the teen group of a Pearland chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. JJOA is an organization that provides social, cultural, and educational opportunities for African American youth between the ages of 2 and 19. During the summers, she is a camp coach at Alpha Omega Gymnastics and volunteers at Texas Children’s Hospital.
When Lauren isn’t at drill team practice or working on her academics, you will find her hanging out with her friends, watching Netflix or shopping. She completely nailed her chic outfits for this session: comfortable with bold accents adding her own flare of accessories. Her pink rhinestone shoes reflected the sparkle in her sweet, personality. She loves to choose from different clothing styles, whether it be comfy casual or totally glam. Her go to stores are Marshall’s, American Eagle, Express, Zara, and of course SHEIN. Lauren told me she loves to find creative clothes at a comfortable price but is also known to splurge occasionally. Classified as an innovator, Lauren prefers to never wear the same thing twice!
Lauren describes herself as outgoing, assertive, determined, and goofy. What I admire about her most is how she loves to try new things and points out the fun in everything she does. Always accountable for her own life decisions, Lauren is a hard worker and has big dreams and goals. I have no doubt she will achieve them either. She plans on going to a college but hasn’t decided which one just yet. She will major in neuroscience and will attend graduate school with a focus in research.
Congratulations, Lauren, on your entering your senior year at Dawson High School! Thank you for letting me be a part of it. I look forward to the rest of our photo shoots together over the next few months. Keep on soaring!
