I’m a photographer based in Houston, TX that specializes in sophisticated wedding and high school senior photography.
Blake was picture perfect during her senior session in downtown Houston! It took perseverance and patience, however, to get this session book thanks to Covid-19. At the beginning of March, I was excited to get an inquiry from Mrs. Johnson, Blake’s mom. Mrs. Johnson is a former teacher of mine so I knew this session would be extra special. I was honored she chose me to capture this special time in her daughter’s life. Scheduling did not come so easily though as it was interrupted by Covid-19. The Harris County stay at home order disrupted everyone’s lives for two months. All sessions were put on hold. Photographers were worried about their small businesses surviving and the class of 2020 seniors were stripped of all their “lasts”- last game, last prom, last awards ceremony, last day of class with their friends. But on April 30, Houston started to slowing regain life and we photographers were dancing with joy because finally we could get back to work and get behind our cameras again! First up was getting Blake’s schedule back on the books. But again, a stump in the road: rain! The weather was terrible on Blake’s scheduled day. So we bumped it a few days and we got perfection: a sky filled with sunshine and a bit of cooler air.
Blake was a natural in front of the camera! Her sweet and gentle personality was so apparent during our session. Blake put together all the right outfits – ones that allowed us to photograph different poses at multiple locations downtown. Blake brought her favorite Georgia Tech gear and her cap and gown to commemorate her senior year! And, she brought her mom and sister who added lots of joy and laughter to our time together.
Everyone here at RGP wishes Blake an adventurous year ahead at Georgia Tech. We know she is going to soar!
