I’m a photographer based in Houston, TX that specializes in sophisticated wedding and high school senior photography.
Dreamy florals, a stunning gown and smiles that light up a room! The Ausec wedding was absolute perfection, well, except for the weather. When Laura and I met at The Farmhouse for her bridal portraits (which are simply gorgeous by the way), it was a cold, damp and rainy day. We couldn’t take photos in her favorite spot outside just behind the chapel. But that didn’t stop us from capturing her timeless bridal portrait inside the chapel and in the beautiful, all white bridal suite. When I woke up on the morning of her wedding and there was still no sunshine in the forecast, I was bound and determined to do everything I could to make this day perfect for her. I loaded up the clear bubble umbrellas, and headed North. Laura was a bit anxious about the weather but I calmly reassured her that, no matter what, we were going to capture every moment for her, rain or shine. So we both prayed. ALOT! And guess what: We had a little pocket of 30 minutes with no rain… and we used every minute of it! And even if it had rained like cats and dogs, it would not have mattered because the love and joy Laura and Andrew have for each other is bigger than a sky filled with rain. The love and support these two families have for Laura and Andrew is beyond measure. We laughed during the first look with her bridesmaids and we cried during the Father – Daughter first look and the touching and emotional first look between the bride and groom. Soon they would be husband and wife and no dreary weather was going to stop that!
The Farmhouse was stunning with greenery by Striking Stems around the cross in the chapel and adorning the modern yet chic chandeliers in the reception space. I am still obsessing over the bouquets they designed for Laura and her bridal party. Laced With Grace had every detailed planned and executed with perfection. Wink By Erika knocked the dessert table out of the park with a delicious cake, cake balls and cookies. Sunny Hair and Makeup had just the right touch for Laura and all for the strong and radiant women surrounding her!
The toasts were light hearted and genuine, truly describing Laura and Andrew! After a sentimental prayer and a delicious dinner by Pappasito’s (QUESO!!!!), the bride and groom danced the night away with their friends and family. Of course, it would not be an Aggie wedding without incorporating The Aggie War Hymn! WHOOP!
Cheers to Laura and Andrew! I know they are excited to serve alongside one another and shine their light and love of Christ in their marriage. Everyone here at RGP wishes them many years of happiness ahead!
