I’m a photographer based in Houston, TX that specializes in sophisticated wedding and high school senior photography.
It was an absolutely stunning day for Ava’s downtown Houston senior portraits. After having to reschedule her fall session twice due to rain, she finally got the perfect sunny day she deserved! Here at Reed Gallagher Photography (RGP), we understand that Texas weather can be unpredictable, which is why we always build inclement weather days into our calendar. If your session day happens to be affected by bad weather, we will work with you to reschedule and ensure you get the best possible experience. Ava, a Class of 2025 senior from Hardin High School, had a vision for a chic, urban vibe for her portraits, and downtown Houston senior portraits were the perfect fit!
Ava’s session took us to some of the most iconic spots in downtown Houston, giving her a diverse portfolio of images. We started along Main Street where the MetroRail added a cool, urban element to her shots. Next, we captured some unique shots in front of a beautiful iron gate near a historic church, adding a touch of elegance to her gallery. One of the most fun moments was on an escalator, where Ava’s vibrant personality shined through. To round out the session, we made sure to include those signature downtown skyscrapers in the background, creating that true Houston city vibe.
Ava chose three amazing outfits that reflected her style perfectly. She wore a white and blue striped sweater with denim jeans that allowed for movement and a variety of poses. At RGP, we always recommend choosing at least one casual outfit that makes you feel comfortable and confident. Her second outfit was a long, flowing emerald green sundress paired with sandals, adding a touch of elegance. For her third look, she opted for a shorter white sundress that captured her fun and outgoing personality.
Ava is more than just a pretty face in front of the camera—she’s also incredibly involved at Hardin High School. She participates in Business Professionals of America, National Honor Society, Future Farmers of America, and is a photographer for the yearbook, where her love for photography shines. When she’s not busy with extracurriculars, Ava enjoys laying in bed, shopping, and watching movies. She describes herself as very outgoing, adding with a laugh, “But I’m not for everyone!” After high school, Ava has big plans to attend Texas A&M University and pursue her dream of becoming an ESPN reporter. We have no doubt that with her drive and determination, Ava will achieve great things.
We’re so glad we could capture this exciting time in Ava’s life with downtown Houston senior portraits that reflect her vibrant spirit and ambition.
