I’m a photographer based in Houston, TX that specializes in sophisticated wedding and high school senior photography.
Capturing Katharine’s Hermann Park senior photos was such a special experience for the RGP team! Katharine and her family are close friends of ours; her mom and my mom have been friends since childhood, making this session a beautiful blend of family and art. Katharine, affectionately known as “Kat” to her friends, is an incredible high school senior with a story as rich and colorful as the vibrant Houston backdrop we chose for her photos.
Katharine’s journey is a unique one. She began her high school career at HSPVA as a dance major and recently transitioned to training full-time with Vitacca Ballet School, dedicating over 8 hours a day to classical ballet with an additional focus on contemporary dance. Her dedication and love for dance are inspiring, and it’s clear she’s on a path toward her goal of joining a professional ballet company. Beyond dance, Katharine is actively involved in St. Luke’s Student Ministries, loves spending time with her friends, and has recently discovered a love for pickleball and family mahjong nights.
We started Katharine’s senior session at the Montrose Library, where her mom and grandmother joined us for some cherished family moments. Her outfits were perfect and truly captured her unique style and personality. She wore a cream tulle skirt with brown cowboy boots and a hat, bringing a touch of elegance and Texas flair that suited her perfectly. From there, we headed to the iconic North and South Boulevard tree line, just outside Hermann Park, where the natural beauty of the location complemented her vibrant personality.
Hermann Park offered a stunning array of backdrops that resonated with Katharine’s love for architecture. We explored the historic sites within the park, including a scenic fountain and green fields, which added depth to her portraits. Katharine wore a long, flowing pink floral dress that moved beautifully with the gentle Houston breeze, a perfect match for her dancer’s grace. Her final outfit—a cream long dress paired with a floral bouquet—added a timeless touch, echoing the elegance and commitment she brings to all her pursuits.
Aside from her artistry, Katharine is also a compassionate advocate. She’s actively involved in ovarian cancer awareness, working alongside her mom in the organization STAAR for ovarian cancer. Recently, she even helped organize a fundraiser for her high school group, HOPE (High Schoolers for Ovarian Cancer Prevention and Awareness), raising over $2,300 to support this cause close to her heart. Katharine also frequently models for Weissman Elite, a dancewear costume brand, blending her love for dance with fashion—a perfect combination for her senior photos.
As a member of our RGP Class of 2025 Senior Rep Team, Katharine brings not only her passion for dance but also her support for the arts and the next generation of young artists. It’s an honor to work with someone who sees the beauty in both dance and photography and wants to celebrate them together. We’re so grateful to capture her story in these Hermann Park senior photos and to be part of this special chapter in her life!
Congratulations, Katharine, on your senior year! We can’t wait to celebrate more at our upcoming group shoots. We are so proud of you!
