I’m a photographer based in Houston, TX that specializes in sophisticated wedding and high school senior photography.
Outdoor Houston senior pictures are a favorite over here at Reed Gallagher Photography. Capturing the essence of senior year is a special endeavor, our team had the privilege of creating timeless memories for Katey, a vibrant senior at Robert Turner College and Career High School and a proud member of the Class of 2024 RGP Senior Rep Team. When asked why she applied for the RGP Rep Team, Katey shared a personal connection—her mother’s experience as a senior rep. The family tradition led her to discover the RGP Senior Rep Team, and the alignment with her interests made it an immediate choice.
On a beautiful day, we embarked on a journey to showcase Katey’s personality and quirk in a session that exuded class and respect. The picturesque tree line at North South Blvd. outside the Houston Museum District served as the initial canvas for our session with Katey. The natural backdrop set the tone for capturing genuine moments and allowing Katey’s unique personality to shine through. From there, we ventured to Buffalo Bayou, with the iconic Sabine Bridge providing a breathtaking view of the Houston skyline—a favorite location for seniors seeking a backdrop that merges cityscapes with individuality.
Katey, a self-proclaimed extrovert and outgoing individual, shared her passions and interests that span a wide spectrum. From creating art through bracelets, painting, drawing, designing, and sewing to her love for animals showcased through internships at the Houston Zoo and a local vet clinic, Katey embodies creativity and compassion. Her enthusiasm extends to music, dancing, and cherishing moments with family and close friends.
Beyond academics, Katey is involved in a multitude of extracurricular activities that highlight her leadership and dedication. As the team captain of the Academic Decathlon, she led her school to victory at the State competition—a historic achievement. Her role as the Lead Conservation Mentor in the Houston Zoo’s Teen Leadership Council showcases her commitment to environmental awareness. Additionally, she’s a proud recipient of the Girl Scouts’ highest honor, the Gold Award, demonstrating her dedication to community service.
Describing her style as diverse and adaptable, Katey embraces a variety of looks, from comfy/casual to country, cottage core, and trendy aesthetics. Constantly experimenting with different pieces and unconventional combinations, Katey’s fashion sense mirrors her open-minded approach to life.
Katey effortlessly translated her dynamic personality into the session, showcasing two beautiful dresses in red and baby blue. For a more casual vibe, she rocked black jeans and a shirt. Adding a personal touch, Katey incorporated her graduation cap and gown along with her letter jacket, creating a collage of moments that define her high school experience.
When asked why she applied for the RGP Rep Team, Katey shared a personal connection—her mother’s experience as a senior rep. The family tradition led her to discover the RGP Senior Rep Team, and the alignment with her interests made it an immediate choice.
After graduation, Katey has ambitious plans. She intends to attend MSU for pre-vet education, eventually transferring to vet school at MSU. Her long-term goal is to return to Texas, working as a vet and aspiring to secure a position at the Houston Zoo or perhaps opening her own clinic.
Katey’s senior session was a blast, and the pictures are like a time capsule of her high school journey. They capture the essence of a girl who’s not afraid to be herself, try new things, and chase after her dreams. As she steps into the next chapter, we’re here cheering her on! Congratulations, Katey! We are very proud of you!
