Spring Picnic Senior Pictures

One of the things I absolutely love about having a high school senior spokesmodel team is that they are always up for a photoshoot. I knew the weather might be a challenge, because here in Houston, you never know what you will get on any spring day. And, it did rain on the chosen date. But the fabulous Class of 2022 Reed Gallagher Photography Senior Rep Team was up for rescheduling and I am so glad we did! We had the absolute best time during this Houston senior picnic shoot at Cy-Hope. It was actually a cool, crisp day. A little on the cloudy side, but as photographers, we totally know how to work with that!

Senior Rep Team Spring Picnic Styled Shoot

Preparing for spring picnic senior pictures was fun and relatively easy. Once I decided on the color scheme, I texted my rep team and shared with them the vision for the shoot. I sent them a Pinterest board of outfits that would vibe with the picnic theme.  As always, they were dressed in chic, spring outfits and full of smiles and laughter. For supplies, I ordered a white blanket from Amazon and bought some great pillows at Home Goods. Then, I grabbed some trays, a small cylinder table and a basket from my home and designed a mock set up. I always like to practice a bit so that the shoot runs smoothly and efficiently and there are no surprises. Also, it ensures that I have everything I need. 

Spring Picnic Senior Pictures Essentials

The day before the shoot, I headed to the grocery store to purchase watermelon, oranges, grapes, lemons and a loaf of bread. We added Izze drinks that were colors that blended with the pillows, the fruit and the table. And, I found the perfect flowers!  I absolutely loved how the set up turned out.

During our team shoots, I not only capture group photos, but I always take individual shots of each girl. Also, they have their own little mini session and photos with their best friends on the team. This is the easiest way to get fresh portraits that are fun and exciting to use for social media marketing. Not only do I get to share them, the seniors share them to which brings in lots of clients who want to book spring senior sessions.
