I’m a photographer based in Houston, TX that specializes in sophisticated wedding and high school senior photography.
When Victoria and Matthew contacted Reed Gallagher Photography about being a part of their winter Union Ranch Wedding in New Waverly, Texas, I was thrilled. After a fun video call with these two, I knew our team was a great fit for their big day. Aly led the RGP Associate team and the day was lovely! Victoria and Matthew wanted their day to be all about their love for each other. They enjoyed every moment of their engagement season during which time they truly focused on preparing for their marriage. Being surrounded by the people that mattered the most to them was their biggest priority. They were excited to enjoy the beautiful scenery at Union Ranch and embrace the sunset.
With a winter Union Ranch wedding, Victoria choose such a beautiful color palette of burgundy and blush. These winter wedding colors had the elegant, rustic vibe Victoria had always dreamed of. Victoria’s dress was fun and whimsical. It had a lot of tulle and some pretty lace floral details. She instantly fell in love with how it moved when she first tried it on. Matthew and Victoria carried a photo charm of a loved one on her bouquet and his boutonnière.
Victoria got ready for her big day in the bridal suite at Union Ranch. With beautiful views of the grassy fields, there were several places to stop for bridal portraits. With her besties at her side in gorgeous cabernet dresses, we captured some special moments of them all together. The guys were decked out in black tuxes. It was really a special moment when Matthew read his love letter from Victoria.
Victoria and Matthew had such a sweet, intimate wedding ceremony. They shared special vows with each which was a favorite moment for them both. It was beautiful! I always love asking my couples what they felt the moment they first saw each other on their wedding day. Matthew shared that he was calm, but astonished. No doubt because Victoria looked like an angel! Victoria said she was really nervous right before, but then extremely excited the moment she saw Matthew standing there waiting for her to walk down the aisle.
After the ceremony and family formals, the RGP team whisked Victoria and Matthew away so they could share some of their first moments together, just the two of them, as husband and wife. These are always some of our favorite moments to capture! The lovely grounds at Union Ranch were picture perfect.
Victoria and Matthew wanted a reception that was fun for all of their guest and one that included a lot of dancing. Victoria had been looking forward to their first dance for so long! After the toasts, guests enjoyed dinner and dancing. We snuck Victoria and Matthew out for some night time portraits before the night was over. Victoria shared one of the greatest things about their wedding day was that, at the end, she didn’t have to say goodbye to Matthew. Together they ran through a sparkler exit with family and friends cheering them on. Then, they drove off together to start their new life together.
Congratulations, Mr. & Mrs. Caterina. The entire team at Reed Gallagher Photography had the best time serving you both. It was such an honor! We wish you a lifetime of happiness!
